CD : Natalie Sripetch - likasit hua jai

This is a nice understated album from Natalie Sripetch, many songs are xylophone driven and the overall feel of the backing being rather laid-back allowing Natalie's soaring vocals to take central stage. The opening track "Kor ar-nu-yard mia ma ru yung" is a prime example of this, the pace is slow and restrained and Natalie's vocals are allowed space to be heard.

One of the best tracks is "Dae tee ruk" with it's twangy guitar and atmospheric feel, laid back again of course. One criticism could be the album is a little one paced though "Luem dai luem pai" is a good faster tempo track and nice to dance to. Overall maybe the album needs a little bit more bite but is an enjoyable listen, if a slow ride.

Rating : 7.2/10
